Satin Dresses Under $100 that are Perfect for Autumn Weddings

My little sister is getting married in less than a month, and I’m waiting for the notification that my wedding guest dress has been delivered! I’m not a bridesmaid, so I’m at liberty to chose my own outfit. In fairness, we have eight other sisters as well as countless girl cousins, most of which the bride is closer to in age, so I understand that I wasn’t asked to be in the bridal party.

I might pretend to feel scorned since it’s my role as elder sister to give my youngers a hard time, but truthfully, after a period of being a bridesmaid twice in one summer pre-pandemic, I greatly enjoy not having a 12-hour day of photos and ankle pain. And seeing as it’s a family wedding, I will get both of those things anyway, but at least I can chose my own dress and won’t be obligated to be in every other photo.

Color Palette

This is the main photo that my sister sent me for her wedding color scheme. While, yes - it’s a bathroom - she liked the earth tone colors of the tiles. Her final color choices are emerald greens and burnt orange/rust, which I’m excited about because my favorite colors happen to be earth tones.

Wine Satin Sleeveless Mock Neck Maxi Dress

I love the deep wine color of this dress, and combination of the high neck with the leg slit. Beautiful and classic, it’s a great option that can be effortlessly dressed up or down. It could also be worn for the Holiday season.

Krystal Satin Wrap Gown

Wrap dresses are always comfortable and versatile, and I like that this dress isn’t heavy because it can be layered with a thick coat for winter or on its own for summer.

Rust Satin Cowl Neck Cold-Shoulder Maxi

This dress is elegant and looks more expensive than its $84 price tag. The rust/burnt orange color is perfect for an autumn wedding, and I love the flow of the satin. This is the dress that I ordered and I’m planning to adjust the off-shoulder straps to lay on my shoulders with fashion tape.

Satin Cap Sleeve Sheath Slit Midi Dress

This dress would work for both autumn and spring weddings, making it a great investment, especially being only $40. While a more subdued dress style, it can be paired with statement shoes or jewelry.

One Shoulder Tie Stretch Satin Mini Dress

I think this style is so fun and dramatic! I like that the shoulder tie is long, because it can be tied in a proper bow or even wrapped around the shoulders.

Curve off Shoulder Bardot tuck Structured Satin Midi

The color and off-shoulder style of this midi dress is so elegant, and I love a ruched style. Not only is it flattering, but also it also saves time from not having to iron.

Honorary mention over $100:

V-Neck Flutter-Sleeve Midi Dress

While a little over $100, this dress has a classic structure that can be worn as daily fall outfit, or dressed up for formal attire. I was close to purchasing it, but I decided that I wanted something that had more flow. Still, I’m tempted to buy it because it would be a beautiful dress for autumn.
